What is Microblading?
Microblading ... I create hair strokes with pigment with a hand held disposable sterile blade... Putting the finest hairs back into eyebrows with pigment to provide the finest definition and dimension possible. Controlling the shape and symmetry of the brows better than ever before. For the most understated, natural looking, completely corrective enhancement to your brows. This amazing brow service suits people who ideally have the wrong brow shape, over plucked, loss of hair/patchy areas that won't grow back.
Microblading is done using a very fine disposable blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. More superficial than tattooing and impacting color closer to the top skin surface strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine. Think of it as a cosmetic procedure for the brow!

How long does it last?
It is a semi-permanent amazing brow procedure that lasts about a year! Semi-Permanent make-up is an ART not a science. Client results will vary. Even though it is effective and lasts up to a year in most cases, no guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit from the procedure. Everyone's skin is different, it is very important that each client understands that I can create perfect, gorgeous brows but ultimately it is up to your skin to retain my semi-permanent cosmetic service. Generally the results are amazing but it very much depends on your own skin type, texture and oiliness. Microblading heals about 50% lighter. This is a very natural corrective service....
**** IF you have darker hair please note this service will heal lighter than your natural hair color. It will seem like you need a touch up when you may not. It does not eliminate the need for brow powder...... I am giving you a template! No guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit the same as another from this procedure. Fading and undesirable scabbing can occur.
How long does the procedure take?
Approximately two hours. The consultation is part of your appointment! After filling out paperwork, I numb you, then we consult, draw your perfect shape and take photos before the procedure begins. My numbing contains Epinephrine... if you have an Epinephrine allergy be advised you will have to do the procedure with no numbing.
Healing process/ How long does healing take?
***Read this thoroughly..... Less than a week usually just a few days! However please allow a week if you have an event or special occasion coming up! and please make sure you have scheduled a touch up session ahead of time just in case you do not heal well and need it. Everyone's skin is different. Although eyebrow Microblading is effective in most cases, no guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit from the procedure. Color intensity will be darker immediately after the procedure, while some women are ok with this, some women have a very hard time!! ..... the darkness will subside and become softer as the skin heals....I always say about 2-3 days you will be darker and your brows will feel slightly larger, followed by some possible flaking and possibly some undesirable scabbing... Unfortunate as this could be, this procedure could be too semi-permanent for your skin. Generally, the results are excellent but it very much depends on your skin..... texture, oiliness etc. Your new semi-permanent eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. Sometimes it's a hard process! This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and/or body fluid that is naturally exiting your skin. Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. This process does not eliminate the need to fill in your brows.... I am giving you the illusion of hair! Not a filled in look. Now when you fill in with your powder I give you the illusion of existing hair... your new template!
Does it hurt?
It is actually not that bad. Everyone's different.... I use the numbing cream that you will love me for! It's the same numbing cream a doctor would use when administering Fillers or Botox! It's just slightly uncomfortable, but definitely worth it!
Will I need a touch up ?
Everyone's skin is different so it greatly depends on that and your healing process. No guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit the same as another from this procedure. This is the process of inserting pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis. It is a form of tattooing, cosmetic, though it is semi-permanent. Generally, the results are excellent but it very much depends on your skin texture, oiliness etc. Your new semi-permanent eyebrow goes through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely. Allow 2-3 days to settle. Once completely healed, I advise applying a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. You may need a touch up appointment to correct if any of these factors were present at your blading. These are booked when booking your initial session just in case you need one. Generally the results are amazing but it very much depends on your own skin type, texture and oiliness. The pigment is semi-permanent and will fade over time. However please note again that everyone's skin is different and will experience different results with this semi-permanent procedure when it comes to retention. Additional Touch-Ups may be necessary. If you need a touch up Lavish Beauty offers you one at an extreme discounted rate of $50 between up to 12 weeks after your initial blade so please plan your touch ups ahead of time to ensure you can get your discounted touch up in a timely manner.
*************** PLEASE NOTE. Clients are completely responsible for scheduling their touch up sessions in advance and reading all about the procedure, skin typing and healing possibilities prior to their sessions, no exceptions.
How do you choose a color?
I have a huge variety of Colors and use amazing pigment. While you are numbing after you have filled out all of your paperwork I choose the color that is perfect for you.
Can I have my brows microbladed if I am pregnant?
No. No exceptions. You cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant or breast-feeding due to the numbing and possible stress during the procedure or breast feeding. It is your responsibility to inform the technician PRIOR to starting the procedure if you are Pregnant or breast feeding.
Who is NOT ideal for this procedure?
- Someone with large pores on their forehead.
- Someone with very dark existing permanent makeup.
- Someone with severely oily skin. ( Pigment will look more solid than like hair strokes and may not last as long)
- Someone who works out daily and sweats a lot.
- Diabetes type 1 or 2 ( Prone to slow healing and infection, color may or may not retain well)
- Have Thyroid/graves disease ( Medication may cause pigment to not retain properly)
- If you are pregnant or nursing. ( No service, no exceptions.)
*LADIES.. Sometimes retention with the above contraindications is still possible. Everyone's skin is different and retains different. Color retention is very different as well. This is an ART not a science. No specific results can be guaranteed.
*** Please note.... even if none of the above apply Microblading cannot be guaranteed as this is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure, I can give you amazing brows but it is up to your skin to retain my service! Generally results are amazing however they do differ due to skin typing, healing or bleeding during procedure. IF YOU SHOW UP TO YOUR SCHEDULED SESSION AND DECIDE NOT TO PROCEED BECAUSE ONE OF MORE OF THESE LISTED ABOVE IS PRESENT AND YOU DO NOT WANT TO PROCEED, YOUR DEPOSIT IS STILL NON-REFUNDABLE AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED A LATE CANCEL FEE.
Will I still have to wax or pluck new growth?
Yes. While I cannot control your new growth coming back, I have now given you an amazing new template to make your maintenance much easier!

- This stays on for 24 hours.
- Do not excessively sweat or wipe off.
- This must be washed off in 24 hours max.
- Wash with a light neutral soap 1x daily.
- Do not scrub, use gentle hair strokes with clean fingers.
- Air dry for 30 minutes then apply aftercare very lightly 2x a day to keep the scabs from forming. LESS is more, use very sparingly. Keep in mind total wet time daily is only about 60 seconds.

- Keep out of the sun for 7 days and after the 7 days keep sunscreen to aid in the longevity of the Microblade.
The following must be avoided during all 7 days post-microblading procedure:
- Increased sweating… which means working out!!….. etc.

- Sun tanning or salon tanning
- Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin- A or Glycolic Acid on the face.
- Picking, peeling, scrubbing or scratching of the micro pigmented area
- Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
- Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
- Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the aftercare
Stages of Healing
Your new eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle. The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. The color of the pigment will soften gradually.
Day 2 is hard. Scabbing is undesirable however it can happen and may make it harder to look at during this healing process.
Once completely healed, I advise applying a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Not an excessively oily sunscreen as if your skin type is on the oilier side this could push the pigment out.
Be sure and schedule your touch up sessions way in advance ladies!!
